Your privacy matters. Here is how we collect, use, share and protect your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how AstroLogics (a brand operated by Brainguru Technologies Private Limited) collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal data when you use our website, apps, tools and services at astrologics.in (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you consent to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

  • Account & identity: name, mobile number, email address, password, and (for astrologers) KYC and professional details.
  • Astrological / sensitive details: your date, time and place of birth, gender, and the relationship/owner of a chart you create. These birth details, and any health, relationship, financial or family matters you choose to discuss in a consultation, are sensitive - we process them only to provide the services you request.
  • Transactions: wallet recharges, consultation and order history, plan/membership details, and shipping address. Card/UPI/bank details are collected and processed directly by our payment partner (Razorpay) on a secure gateway - we do not store full card numbers.
  • Communications: chat messages, support tickets, reviews/ratings, and messages you send us on WhatsApp, email or the contact form.
  • Consultation recordings: voice/video consultations may be recorded only where you and the astrologer have consented on screen, for quality, safety and dispute-resolution. Recordings are stored privately and access-controlled.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Device and connection data (IP address, browser/OS, device identifiers), and approximate location derived from IP.
  • Usage data - pages viewed, features used, time spent, referring/exit pages - via cookies and similar technologies.

1.3 AstroLogics tools in ChatGPT

Our astrology calculators can be connected to ChatGPT as a tool. If you connect and use it, the birth details you give in that conversation are sent to our servers only to compute the chart, panchang or compatibility score you asked for, and the result is returned to you in the conversation.

  • What we receive: the date, time and place (or coordinates) of birth you supply, and which calculator was called.
  • Why: solely to perform the calculation you requested.
  • Who else receives it: nobody. We do not share it with any third party.
  • How long we keep it: we do not store it. Birth details supplied through the tool are held in memory only for as long as the calculation takes and are never written to our database. We keep only a non-identifying record that a calculation happened - which calculator, whether it succeeded, and how long it took.
  • Your controls: because nothing is stored, there is nothing to export or delete. Stop using the tool and no further data reaches us.

Your use of ChatGPT itself is governed by OpenAI's privacy policy, not ours.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and operate your account and provide consultations, Kundli/matchmaking tools, reports and shop orders.
  • To process payments, wallet credits, invoices and refunds, and to detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To connect you with astrologers and personalise your readings and recommendations.
  • To provide customer support and resolve disputes and grievances.
  • To send service messages (OTP, transaction and order updates) and, with your consent, promotional messages - which you can opt out of at any time.
  • To improve, secure and analyse the Platform, and to comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

3. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies in two groups. Necessary cookies keep you logged in, remember your preferences and secure the Platform - these are always on. Optional cookies load only after you consent through our cookie banner (you can change your choice any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer). Visitors in India, where no cookie banner is required, have analytics and advertising cookies on by default and can switch either off the same way:

  • Analytics - Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): anonymised traffic measurement (pages viewed, features used) to improve the Platform. Loaded in Google "Consent Mode" - until you allow analytics, it runs without analytics cookies. Opt-out / controls: Google's privacy & terms and the GA opt-out add-on.
  • Product analytics & session replay - Zoho PageSense (Zoho Corporation): heatmaps, funnel measurement and session replay of how visitors interact with our public pages, so we can see where the interface confuses people. It loads only after you consent to analytics, and it is deliberately not loaded on account, dashboard, checkout or admin pages. Controls: Zoho's privacy policy.

Advertising - Google AdSense

We show advertisements served by Google AdSense (Google LLC) on parts of the Platform. Ads help keep our free tools, horoscopes and articles free.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), you are asked for consent through a Google consent message before personalised ads are shown. Where personalised ads are not permitted or you have not consented, Google may show non-personalised or limited ads, which still use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
  • How Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Apart from Google AdSense, we do not use advertising pixels (such as the Meta Pixel) or ad-retargeting trackers on the Platform.

You can also control or block cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without the necessary ones.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only as needed, with:

  • Astrologers on the Platform - your name, birth details and the questions you share, so they can give you a reading.
  • Payment partner - Razorpay, to process payments and refunds securely.
  • Communication/OTP & messaging providers - e.g. our WhatsApp/SMS and email partners, to send OTPs and service messages.
  • Infrastructure providers - hosting and content-delivery vendors who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • AI service providers - our AI features (the AI astrologer chat, readings, reports, Hindi translations, and reading of documents or images you upload) run through our AI gateway on Anthropic's Claude models; AI voice consultations, their transcription, text-to-speech and the safety screening of chat messages use OpenAI. They receive only what the feature needs - your question or message, the relevant birth-chart details and, for a voice consultation, its audio - and process it on our behalf to return the response.
  • Analytics partner - Google (Google Analytics 4), only after you consent to the analytics cookie category (see "Cookies & analytics" above).
  • Advertising partner - Google (Google AdSense), which uses cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads as described in "Cookies & analytics" above. We do not give advertisers your name, contact details, birth details or consultation content.
  • Logistics partners - couriers, for delivering physical shop orders (name, address, phone).
  • Authorities - law-enforcement, courts or regulators where required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
  • Business transfers - in connection with a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to this Policy.

5. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures - encryption in transit, access controls and private storage for recordings - to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; please keep your password confidential and tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the services, and thereafter only as required to comply with legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Consultation recordings are retained for a limited period (currently up to 90 days) unless needed longer for a dispute or by law.

Birth-chart (Kundli) data: the birth details and computed horoscope/Kundli charts you generate are stored on your account so we can power your dashboard, reports, consultations and recommendations. When you remove or replace a saved chart, it is hidden from your view but retained by us in archived form (it is not immediately erased) for service continuity, your consultation history, dispute resolution and aggregate, non-identifying analytics. If you want a saved chart and its underlying birth data permanently and irreversibly erased, you can request this from our Grievance Officer (see below) and we will action it subject to any record we must keep by law.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may:

  • Access, correct or update your personal data from your account or by contacting us.
  • Request deletion of your account and data (some records may be retained where the law requires).
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (details below), and, if you are not satisfied with the response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

We are based in India and primarily process data here. Some service providers process data outside India: our AI service providers Anthropic and OpenAI (United States) for the AI features described in section 4, and Google for analytics and advertising. Where data is processed outside India, we take steps for it to be protected consistently with this Policy and applicable law.

10. Third-party links

The Platform may link to third-party sites or services we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own - please review their policies.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
