The Crystal Nandi is a figurine of Nandi — the sacred bull and devoted vahana (vehicle) of Lord Shiva — sculpted from clear crystal (sphatik). Nandi holds a unique place in the Shaiva tradition: he is the gatekeeper of Kailash, the first disciple of Shiva, and the embodiment of joyful, devoted service. Placing a Nandi figurine in the home is a traditional act of devotion to Lord Shiva and an expression of the Shaiva household's faith.
