About this Rahu Mala / Rosary - 07 mm (MARA-001)
The Rahu Mala is a 7 mm rosary crafted from beads traditionally associated with the shadow planet Rahu. In Vedic practice, specific mala beads linked to particular grahas are used during japa to propitiate that planet and seek relief from its challenging influences. At 7 mm, each bead is substantial enough for comfortable grip during extended mantra recitation, and the size is considered auspicious for Rahu-related sadhana.
This mala is traditionally used while chanting the Rahu Beej Mantra or other Rahu-related stotras, typically on Saturdays or during Rahu Kalam. It is customarily kept wrapped in dark cloth when not in use and placed near the personal altar. Astrological significance
Rahu is one of the two lunar nodes and is regarded in Vedic astrology as a shadow planet (Chaya Graha) with profound karmic significance. It is believed to govern obsession, ambition, material desire, illusion, and sudden transformation. When Rahu is placed in a challenging house or is afflicted in the natal chart, Vedic tradition prescribes remedial measures including mantra japa with a dedicated Rahu mala. Rahu is traditionally associated with Aquarius-like themes and resonates with the deity Goddess Durga in some lineages. Consulting a Jyotish practitioner is advised before commencing any Rahu upaya.
