॥ नीलसरस्वती स्तोत्रम् ॥
घोररूपे महारावे सर्वशत्रुभयङ्करि ।
भक्तेभ्यो वरदे देवि त्राहि मां शरणागतम् ॥१॥
ॐ सुरासुरार्चिते देवि सिद्धगन्धर्वसेविते ।
जाड्यपापहरे देवि त्राहि मां शरणागतम् ॥२॥
जटाजूटसमायुक्ते लोलजिह्वान्तकारिणि ।
द्रुतबुद्धिकरे देवि त्राहि मां शरणागतम् ॥३॥

Meaning
This is a hymn to Nila (Neel) Saraswati, the dark-blue tantric form of the goddess of wisdom, also worshipped as Ugra-Tara. Each verse ends with the urgent refrain “trahi mam sharanagatam” — “protect me, I have taken refuge in you.” The devotee addresses her terrible, roaring form that strikes fear into all enemies, yet who is the bestower of boons to her devotees and the remover of dullness and sin.
