Hariyali Teej is a joyful monsoon festival dedicated to Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva, celebrating their divine union. Falling on the Tritiya of Shravana Shukla Paksha, it is observed with fasting, green attire, mehndi, jhula (swings) and folk songs, especially by women. Here is your guide to Hariyali Teej 2026.

| Tritiya tithi ends | Saturday, 15 August 2026 at 05:28 PM |
As the Tritiya tithi remains in force for most of the day, puja and festivities can be performed comfortably through 15 August. Auspicious Ravi Yoga and Siddha Yoga prevail, making it ideal for Shiva-Parvati worship.
It is said that Goddess Parvati observed severe penance across many births to be united with Lord Shiva, and on this day Shiva finally accepted her as his consort. Married women keep the Teej vrat for the long life and wellbeing of their husbands, while unmarried girls pray for a loving life partner.
